TRIACETIN - TOPICAL CREAM, SOLUTION

USES: This medication is an antifungal used on the skin to treat skin infections such as nail fungus, athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm or impetigo.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for topcial use only. Clean and dry the affected area then apply as directed.
The cream and soluiton are usually applied 3 times a day. Apply a samll amount to the affected area and rub in gently. It may be necessary to continue teratment for several months to clear the infection. Use this medication as presrcibed for the full treatment time. Do not use large amounts, apply this more often or stop using this mdeication without your doctor's approval. Stopping this medication too soon may lead to ineffective treatment and the infection may reoccur. Avoid cnotact in or near the eyes, nose, mouth or other mucous membranes.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause burning, redenss or irritation the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication.
If these symptoms contiune or if you experience swelling, oozing or blistering, notify your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: ohter illnesses or infections, allergies (especially to antibiotics). This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
Discsus the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if this medication is found in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: all skin products, antibioitcs. Do not start or stop any medicine wtihout doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdsoe is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be hamrful if swallowed.
NOTES: Notify your doctor if the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes wosre after a couple of days.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature bewteen 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. Check the expiration date on the container and discard any epxired medication.
